Rewarding our community leaders

 

Member for Cook, Jason O'Brien MP, is urging people to loudly and proudly call attention to those special individuals who make a difference in our local area.


Nominations in this year's Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards close on 3 September.

"The program is about recognising our hardworking community leaders who are making a valuable contribution to the Far North." Mr O'Brien said.   

"We should be proud of their achievements. These Awards provide a great platform for the whole community to celebrate these achievers successes and I urge you to nominate anyone you think deserves recognition".

Nominations are now open in the following categories:

- The Salvation Army Employment Plus Employment and Training Award
- The Coffee Club Arts and Culture Award
- The Clark Rubber Regional Service Award
- The Peabody Environment and Landcare Award
- The Kleenheat Gas Community of the Year Award

There is the opportunity to win a share in a $10,000 Commonwealth Bank AwardSaver accounts or Television Air Time Prize Packages on WIN Television.   

All category winners will also receive a magnificent hand crafted glass trophy.

The Queensland Regional Achievement & Community Awards are proudly presented by WIN Television and supported by the Commonwealth Bank, Queensland Country Life and the Queensland Government.
