The Julatten Community Centre Amateur Photography Competition is closing on the 13th August so don't miss out, get your entries in without any further delay.

There are a whole plethora of major prizes in each category to win for your happy snaps.

Full List of Categories

• Most Captivating Baby (aged 0-12 months at time of photo).
• Spirit of Julatten/Mt Molloy (e.g. people, sports and activities which capture the essence and character of the area).
• The Great outdoors (e.g. buildings, cliffs, bridges, shoreline)
• Natural Macro (e.g. close ups of flowers, moss, animals, insects, leaves) and Wildlife (furry, scaly or feathered friends) provoking a strong environmental message.
• Photoshop (any subject or theme. The only category where manipulated images are acceptable. Judged on technical craft, story told by enhancement and level of emotion evoked in viewer).
• Portrait of a Local Hero (e.g. your mum, a survivor or someone who contributes to their community).
• Humorous (image portraying a funny message)
• Underwater (e.g. Fish, coral and natural underwater events).

Prizes

The prize for 'best Photo in Show' is Two Season Passes with camping at Woodford Folk Festival on the 27th Dec-1st of Jan donated by Woodford Folk Festival valued at $1046.00, The winning picture will be framed by Perrin Clark Photography and Picture Framing.  The winner of the Junior category will be awarded One ticket to the 30th Tablelands Folk Festival @ Yungaburra. Thur - Sun - 21-24 Oct 2010. Ticket to the value of $55.

Spirit of Julatten/Mt Molloy Category winner, The Junior and Open will be judged together. The winner receives a Bliss Package for Two at the Julatten Mountain Retreat valued at $500.

The Underwater Category winner again the Junior and Open will be judged together. The winner receives a Double Snorkel Pass donated by HABA .

People’s Choice Prizes
To be determined by most public votes on the exhibition night.
