Latest monthly online analytics for March 2010 published by Port Douglas’ premier consumer website, tourismportdouglas.com.au   show a massive increase for their overall pre-travel visitor usage on a year on year basis from March 2009.

 

Their page views have risen from 41,580 in March 2009 to 77,243 in March 2010 (85.7% increase), the total visitors to the site has risen from 10,517 in March 2009 to 19,204 in March 2010 (82.5% increase) and their absolute unique visitors has risen from 7,430 in March 2009 to 13,144 in March 2010 (76.9% increase). 

 

tourismportdouglas.com.au, Managing Director, Sam Cullen said “This increase in usage of the website is reflective of the work that has been put in over the last twelve months to give the evolving tourism market as much relevant  information as we can”.

 

Mr Cullen added, “We have increased the content presence of Newsport our daily online news service which has enhanced the interest to the site from a brand new audience of potential holidaymakers and we have published the  PORT DOUGLAS, free quarterly full colour visitors magazine designed to  continue our brand strength by helping the post arrival visitors.”

 

The Newsport Daily online service now has over 4,000 subscribers.  In  addition to the website activity tourismportdouglas has a signed up social media network via facebook, twitter and buzz of nearly 5,000 followers.
