Low Isles Sailaway have planted 2400 Rainforest trees on ‘Eco Shamba’ rural property very close to Port Douglas, adjacent to World Heritage Rainforest and Crees Creek.  During April an extensive 600 metre nature Corridor has been planted out through this innovative eco-initiative with selected species of native re-vegetation on the ex-cane paddock.

Sailaway MD, Steve Edmundsen wanted to say a special thank you to every Sailaway guest visiting Low Isles since July 1st 2009 for contributing towards this environmental initiative.  Each passenger ticket includes $5 mandatory Carbon Offset. 

Thanks also goes Peter and Gaylene and the Mossman Nursery team, Cairns Regional Council, Alfies digger and Port Irrigation for their expertise and support to get this invaluable initiative going.
