New 'Special Offer' Noticeboard
Newsport has announced a new service to be hosted on its Daily News site. They have invited all businesses around town to promote their 'special offers' for FREE. The service is a self loading format and stays live for 7 days before being removed so the offers are guaranteed to be the latest available.
Newsport managing director Sam Cullen said "We get so many enquiries from Cairns and the Tableland Region with regard to who is offering weekend Specials on Port Douglas accommodation and other products, that we felt this service was an essential addition to The Newsport Daily to help Tourism Operators talk directly to locals in the Douglas, Cairns and Tablelands regions".
"We have had tremendous success recently with our self tapping General Noticeboard on The Newsport Daily so we have this week opened a similar page exclusively for 'Specials'. Tour operators and accommodation houses simply have to enter the details on the noticeboard by following the prompts. Each week the specials will be removed to ensure the latest information is accurate.
Visitors and locals can then access the 'big picture' when it comes to where to go, where to stay, what to do, what's happening and how much money can be saved.

A maximum of 4 lines or approx 80 words will be FREE for you to publish your specials and/or most recent packages. Entries over 4 lines or approx 80 words will not be charged but will be edited to fit within the allocated area.
Sam concluded "We are excited to be able to offer this service and I am sure it will help stimulate oppportunity and focus on this market".
It is expected that the tourismportdouglas.com.au will operate a similar concept in the near future for Tourism Operators to display packages that will entice longer stay visitors.
