The Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa who have won the Best Luxury Eco Tourism category at the 2010 Luxury Travel Magazine Awards. They beat off 14 other Australian and international finalists to take top honours.

The Daintree Eco Lodge were also placed third out of 25 finalists in the ‘Best Australian Spa’ category.

The region was well represented at these prestigious 2010 Luxury Travel Magazine Awards by some of our iconic resorts and establishments. It was interesting looking through the entire list of entrants to see that Sheraton Mirage Port Douglas not only beat off two other 5 star Port Douglas resorts but it also came in higher on the final ladder than it's sister resort from the Gold Coast.

It was also good to see both our superb golf courses featured well in their 'Best Australian Golf resort" category.
