Take Great Strides this Saturday for Cystic Fibrosis

Join hundreds of Port Douglas and Mossman residents on Four Mile Beach in Port Douglas this coming Sunday, 13th September for the Great Strides Walkathon to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is the most common life threatening recessive genetic condition affecting Australian children . More than one million Australians are symptomless carriers of the CF gene and there is no cure yet ! So why not come along and take a gentle stroll(or march if you prefer) along Four Mile Beach to help raise much needed research funds.!

The walk is only 6.4kms along a short course set up and back on the beautiful Four Mile Beach starting and finishing at the Esplanade at the end of Macrossan Street, in easy reach of the pubs for re hydration after the walk ! Registrations are from 7.30am and the walk starts at 8.15am.

L.J.Hooker are proud sponsors of this event as they were last year and Hooker the Bear will be cheering the walkers on in his own special way. And let's face it, there's nothing like a good healthy walk along the beach to build an appetite so you'll also be pleased to know that there will be a BBQ after the race for all entrants and their supporters with award winning sausages supplied by fantastic CF supporters, Mossman Butchering company.

Just come along on the day, register and join the mob, easy as that !
