Sharks U11's claim Grand Final place

The U11's Grand Final qualifier was a game to be expected, 'Good hard backs to the wall football'.

With the sharks up 18 - 6 at half time the boys dropped in intensity in the second half.  To their credit the Suburbs fought back well to level the game at 18 all with just 5 mins to go.

It was nail biting stuff as both teams had opportunities to win, but an inspired hard straight run saw Jack Dickson take most of the opposition with Sam Robert's conversion to win the game. It was a really even game and a spectacle to watch.

Now the Sharks look to a Grand Final against a high quality opposition who the boys are really looking forward to playing. This will increase the rivalry the two teams have now had over a number of years.  It's interesting to note that the only games both teams have lost in the last three years have been to each other.  A loss to Edmonton Storm earlier this year in the Semi Final of the Laurie Spina Shield in Townsville is firmly in the local boys minds.

Coaching staff and supporters wish the boys good luck.

"Gotta love your league".
