Love is on the air at Sky Safari
Brad King and Za Harricharan, owner operators of Sky Safari, the Great Barrier Reef tour helicopter service, announced their engagement on Tuesday 25th August. They have been a couple since 19 Feb 2005. They admit that a drunken get together on Malaita brought them to where they are today. Editors note - and they say alcohol is bad for you !!.
As yet no date has been set for the wedding because it seems there is a queue forming for weddings in the Harricharan family with Za's sister getting married in India next year. Also by her own admission, Za wants to see what ideas she can 'pinch' from her sisters wedding !
The happy couple are not sure if they will get married in Sydney which is where all of the family are or here in Port Douglas where the majority
of their friends are.
As for the ring, we asked Za how she felt about that and she simply held out her hand to show us saying " It is absolutely fabulous & perfect" !
Editors note - I can confirm it's gorgeous and I'm not biased just jealous !
As a bunch of romantics at heart,we asked Za how it all came about, she told us "It was all a surprise to me & I had no hint of it happening.
Brad popped the question on Mon 24 Aug 2009 while we were up at Mali Mali spoiling both our parents"
Editor's comments - There's nothing like a real love story to make you feel good. Congratulations from all of us at The Newsport and may
you receive all you wish for as you travel through life together.
