Fogarty Park hosts serious sounds at Sonic SideShow

The ‘Sonic SideShow’ is a unique youth produced event that is combining fun and frivolity with a diverse showcase of contemporary live youth music.

Hitting the Fogarty Park sound shell stage September 18 from 6-10pm will be young hiphop artist Jordan Oliver, new to the scene electro comedy rock act, The Nuvo, passionate acoustic soloist Hannah Karydas, the punk rock riffs of A4+, punk glam rockers, The Colour Society, recent “Battle of the Bands” winners Said & Done and finally, headliners Canniblast with their unique brand of intense explosive metal.

The event has a sideshow theme with carnival attractions including a bungee run, mechanical ball, laughing clowns, fairy floss and much, much more!

This awesome gig has been put together by the Cairns Tanks Events Crew - a group of motivated, young aspiring event managers participating in a 10 week training program to learn all aspects of event management.
The program is being delivered in partnership with Anglicare’s Youth Substance Misuse Service with funding from the Department of Health and Ageing Binge Drinking Community Level Initiative.
