TOURISM magnate Chris Morris will headline the 2017 Douglas Business Forum in Port Douglas next month.

The millionaire businessman, estimated to be worth more than $550 million, will be the keynote speaker at the QT Resort on Tuesday February 21, which will bring more than 100 local business operators together.

Morris made his fortune in the technology sector before investing in hotels, breweries, casinos, aviation and resorts. He sits at number 48 on the Forbes Australia’s 50 Richest People list.

Start-up guru Max Sylvester of Energy Matters and Nicky Jurd of Precedence will join him at the forum, which hopes to provide inspiration and ideas to Douglas Shire business operators.

The free event is expected to fill quickly, with those interested encouraged to book direct through the Douglas Business Forum ticket site. The event will run from 12pm to 5pm and include lunch.

Morris is currently operating his MY Flying Fish superyacht out of The Reef Marina in Port Douglas.
