Round three of Junior netball began with the under 10s.  

On court one Young Comets battled Pink Lightning. 

Some strong centre court work from the Comets saw them score early, quickly followed by a goal from the Lightning.  

It was a close match with the Comets taking it out, 3 goals to 1.  

Players choice was Lani Dickson from Lightning and Michela Nisbet from Comets.  

Best and fairest going to Evie Cotton.

Court two saw the Young Stars take on the Little Saints with both sides showing big improvements in their skill levels. 

In a fast paced evenly matched game, Saints proved too strong in the goals for the Stars, taking the game out 3 goals to 1.  

Players choice went to Koda Cambieras of Young Stars, and Emma Brown of Little Saints.  

Best and Fairest to Piper Ottone.

In the Under 12s Fast Motion took the court against Young Gems.  Young Gems were determined and began the game strongly, with Sophie Kirk and Jazlyn Chesterfield scoring 8 goals in the first half. 

Fast Motion rallied, with Mikaela Fischer scoring two goals for the team.  

In the second half, some awesome defence from Sophee Watson and Mackenzie Booth kept the Gems to only 3 goals.  

Final score Young Gems 11 – 3.  

Players choice went to Heidi Pashen from Young Gems and Alex Brown from Fast Motion been awarded players choice and best and fairest.

On court 3, the Pythons battled it out against Young Sapphires. 

This was an evenly matched game with some excellent attack and defence shown by both sides.  

Both sides matched goal for goal throughout the entire match.  Fantastic circle work from Jay Heidke and Myah Lowenstein-Jones got the Sapphires to 8 goals.  

Pythons were too good in the end, with Hannah Durie proving equally strong in both attack and defence.  

Koreena Minniecon was unstoppable in defence winning some amazing intercepts.  

Final score was Pythons 9 over the Sapphires 8.

Players choice went to Jenna Kerswell from Sapphires, and Koreena Minniecon from Pythons. 

Best and Fairest awarded to Georgia McCarthy.

In the under 14s on court one, the Superheroes matched up against the U12 TID squad.  

The Under 12s played some fantastic netball, but were no match for the older and more experienced Superheroes.  

Jay Heidke scored in the first quarter but Jemma Fasano’s defence kept them goalless for the remainder of the game.  

Superheroes ran away with the game, winning 29 goals to 1.  

Players choice went to Nanook Aston Boyle from Superheroes and Jenna Kerswell from U12s.  

Best and Fairest went to Jemma Fasano.

Court two had the Young Guns 1 taking on Young Guns 2. 

The game started off evenly in the first quarter with only 3 goals scored in total.  

In the second, Young Guns 2 fought hard but were unable to convert their attempts at goal into points with the Young Guns 1 running away with the game.  

Final score YG1 24 winning over YG2 1.  

Players choice from YG1, Sasha Lowenstein-Jones, from YG2 Kourtney Briggs.  

Best and Fairest awarded to Leah Nash from YG2.
