GC Suns heading to Cairns

Footy fans can fly the Gold Coast Suns flag proudly in North Queensland twice this year, with two matches announced in upcoming months, including one in Cairns.

The Suns will clash with the Brisbane Lions in Townsville on Sunday, February 23, as part of the NAB Challenge, then match up against the Western Bulldogs on July 12 at Cazaly's Stadium in Cairns.

During the past three AFL seasons, the GC Suns played Richmond at Cazaly's. The Suns came away with a 2-1 win-loss record, including Karmichael Hunt's famous 'goal on the siren' to claim victory in the final seconds of the 2012 game.
