An award-winning Port Douglas chef has been recruited to help promote a major culinary event in south east Queensland next month.

Harrison's executive chef and co-owner Spencer Patrick will dish up some delectable delights at the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival.

Mr Patrick will cook alongside chef Shane Bailey at the Noosa Boathouse on Sunday, May 18, treating guests to an entertaining evening of cocktails and canapés and delicious treats.

He said the opportunity to cook at the festival was an exciting opportunity.

"I believe good food can be enjoyed anywhere in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in paradise – whether that be in Port Douglas, or Noosaville for the food and wine festival," Mr Patrick said.

Harrison’s has constantly held national accolades for its food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the Queensland Good Food Guide.

For the main course, guests will feast on a selection of dishes served with matching wines. Spencer will present a lamb shoulder with spiced pumpkin, fetta gratin and cucumber and yoghurt salad.
