Branson unveils super submarine

Sir Richard Branson has unveiled a submarine which will be used to take guests on underwater voyages, as exclusively revealed by Travel Today, the online travel news service, last year.

The submarine, named Necker Nymph, will be based at Branson’s private Necker Island. The carbon fibre prototype reportedly cost $749,000.

Sources within the Branson empire flagged the development with Travel Today last year, with the Great Barrier Reef seen as an ideal destination for deep sea cruises.
